Prevent 22 exists because we believe in one simple truth:

No veteran should stand watch alone.

We are building more than a nonprofit—We’re building a community where veterans have someone to lean on before they ever face a crisis alone.

We’re looking for leaders who want to help build a nonprofit dedicated to preventing veteran suicide through connection, community, and accountability.

These are volunteer leadership positions. While we cannot offer financial compensation at this time, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape Prevent 22 from the ground up and make a lasting impact on the veteran community.

Current Leadership Opportunities

Director of Community Outreach

Mission: Build relationships that connect veterans with Prevent 22 and strengthen our presence in local communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Build partnerships with veteran organizations, businesses, and community groups

  • Recruit volunteers and supporters.

  • Coordinate outreach efforts and community engagement.

  • Represent Prevent 22 at local events.

Estimated Time Commitment: 5-10 hours a month (flexible)

Director of Social Media & Communications

Mission: Expand the reach of Prevent 22 by sharing our mission and growing our online community.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage social media platforms

  • Create graphics and content.

  • Respond to messages and comments.

  • Coordinate awareness campaigns.

Estimated Time Commitment: 5-10 hours a month (flexible)

Director of Events and Development

Mission: Create opportunities for the community to support Prevent 22 through events and fundraising.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan fundraising events

  • Recruit sponsors

  • Coordinate volunteers

  • Help identify grant opportunities.

Estimated Time Commitment: 5-10 hours a month (flexible)
